In the conventional harvesting method farmers are collecting only the pepper spikes which initiatesonly one sprout each branch, in the modified harvesting method CORE team recommends to harvest spikes and a portion of apical meristem of the branch. So the meristematic activity in the lower nodes will be activated and produce more lateral branches with more spikes. We recommend farmers to do this to 20% of the lateral branches per plant.
