Improved Cycle Rickshaw (1992-96)
A holistically re-designed Cycle Rickshaw has been developed, field-tested and demonstrated. The new Rickshaw is mounted on a chassis, with a covered cabin with flat seat and luggage space underneath. The Rickshaw is ergonomically better for the driver, and has low centre of gravity for better stability. Different version for vendors, ice-cream trolley etc have also been developed.
